I met Amy four years ago when I first moved to Arizona. At that time, I was heavily focused on reaching my career goals and working 60+ hours a week at my corporate job. I was getting promoted every year and therefore, believed things were going well. Amy then asked me, "what brings you joy"? I did not know how to answer her simple question. I was in my late 20's. My life was not going anywhere and I felt like I had wasted many of my good years in the religion that I was raised in. I was working a dead end job and had never dated anyone before.I had dropped out of college in my 20's, because the religion strongly discouraged higher education and material pursuits and convinced me I would not be happy if I continued.
